Skulls, No Face

Some examples from our second assignment, still working with skulls. I've been experimenting with some different kinds of charcoal recently. I don't personally like to draw as loose as the 3/4th back view I did, and in doing so I got preoccupied with the way I was drawing and lost some proportions, but it was fun to do regardless.

Open drawing

Going to try to make the open life drawing sessions as often as possible this year- unfortunately they start during a shift at work, but hopefully I can get some time in afterwords. Some images of the first session.

Skulls

I like spending longer times on the skulls, some images of our first longer assignment- 2 hours each.  

New Semester Start

Here are some of the first sketches of the semester; starting with skulls this go around. Feels good to be drawing from model again, and I think the skull as a form is interesting enough to really get a lot out of.
